Pivot Press is a Cape Town based litho printing company specialising in short to medium run commercial litho printing. With over 30 years experience, Pivot Press made a name for itself in wine labels. Printing its first wet glue label in 1989, Pivot Press quickly became known for its outstanding quality and ability to meet challenging deadlines. The highlight of this period was the award for Best Dry Goods Supplier in 2004 from Origin Wine.

Litho printing
Pivot Press’ flagship is its 5-colour Heidelberg A3+ press with inline coating and extended drying which is the ideal press for printing high-end process colour work with the added bonus of a fifth unit enabling the use of a spot colour to ensure accuracy of a corporate colour in combination with a full-colour print job. The coating unit allows for specific finishes using water-based varnishes, which also facilitate faster drying enabling quicker turn-around times.
Pivot Press also has a number of one and two-colour presses with experienced minders, adept at the challenges required for spot colour work ensuring consistency of colour over time and on different substrates.
